The Justlife Foundation received more than £381000 from the Big Lottery Fund's Reaching Communities programme to establish a health and enterprise centre in Manchester for vulnerable adults.
Purple Zebra received £313669 from Big Lottery Fund's BASIS programme to increase and support the use of ICT in the East Midlands. We visited a social media surgery that they were running, giving voluntary groups in Nottingham that chance to drop in and get help, support and advice, in using online channels such as Twitter and Facebook.

The story of WW2 veteran Jack Jennings, 93, inspired a National Lottery good cause TV advert campaign. In this video he speaks of his return to the Far East with funding from the Big Lottery Fund's Heroes Return programme. Jack also gives his thoughts on how Lottery money benefits good causes across the UK.
