The following information provides a brief outline of our funding programmes currently open in Northern Ireland
You can apply to a number of our funding programmes at the same time. You can hold a grant under more than one of our programmes, as long as the funding will cover the costs of different projects. However, you can only hold one award per programme at any one time.
We have included some useful web links that will take you to detailed guidance and application forms for each programme.
We recommend that you read the programme pages and guidance notes carefully to ensure that you are applying to the most suitable funding programme for your project:

| Improving Futures |
Every child deserves the best start in life, but we know that some grow up in difficult circumstances. Some families experience multiple and complex problems – for example, to do with poor health, unemployment, debt or housing problems – which can affect their children’s wellbeing and life chances. The Improving Futures programme aims to improve outcomes for children within these families. Following extensive consultation with public and voluntary sector organisations, we have decided to fund partnerships that can offer joined-up support and provision for families with multiple and complex problems at a local level. Interested parties need to be aware of the following:

| Space and Place | We want to identify an award partner to deliver our Space and Place programme. The award partner will be responsible for delivering the entire grant-making process on behalf of the Big Lottery Fund. A grant scheme is an externally delegated grants programme where the award partner is responsible for the grant- making process. There is £15 million available for the successful award partner to run this capital programme. The Space and Place programme closed to award partner applications on Friday 29 July 2011. We are currently in the process of assessing these applications to identify an award partner to deliver the programme. For any updates following the appointment of the successful award partner please refer to the Space and Place programme page or sign up to receive Big Lottery Fund's Northern Ireland e-bulletin |
